DDR Depot Klub der Funktionäre

Mit der Eröffnung des neuen »DDR Museum Depot« in Berlin-Marzahn erweiterte das DDR Museum seine Ausstellungs- und Veranstaltungsflächen. Im Mittelpunkt steht der Raum »Klub der Funktionäre«, der als Herzstück des Depots konzipiert wurde. In einer zwölf Meter langen Karat Schrankwand präsentierte das DDR Museum exemplarisch die Vielfalt und Tiefe seiner Sammlung.
Der gestaltete Raum wurde mit originalen Sitzmöbeln aus der DDR ausgestattet und verband Ausstellung und Atmosphäre. So entstand ein authentischer Ort, der nicht nur Sammlungsbestände sichtbar machte, sondern sich zugleich für Veranstaltungen und Formate des Austauschs eignete.
With the opening of the new “DDR Museum Depot” in Berlin-Marzahn, the DDR Museum expanded its exhibition and event spaces. At its centre is the “Functionaries’ Club”, conceived as the heart of the depot. In a twelve-metre-long Karat wall unit, the DDR Museum presented the breadth and depth of its collection in exemplary fashion.
Furnished with original GDR seating, the designed room combined exhibition and atmosphere. The result is an authentic space that not only makes the collection visible but is also suited to events and formats for exchange.
