Wilhelm von Humboldt

Friedrich Wilhelm Christian Carl Ferdinand von Humboldt, preußischer Gelehrter, Schriftsteller und Staatsmann. Als Bildungsreformer initiierte er die Neuorganisation des Bildungswesens im Geiste des Neuhumanismus, formte das nach ihm benannte humboldtsche Bildungsideal und betrieb die Gründung der Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Berlin. Friedrich Wilhelm Christian Carl Ferdinand von Humboldt, Prussian scholar, writer and statesman. As an educational reformer, he initiated the reorganisation of education in the spirit of Neo-Humanism, formed the Humboldtian ideal of education named after him, and led to the founding of the Friedrich Wilhelm University in Berlin.
